A deadly No. 5 fire at Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court has gripped the hearts of people. Hong Kong enterprises and mainland enterprises in Hong Kong swiftly responded with disaster relief efforts yesterday, donating money, supplies, or manpower. According to incomplete statistics from Wen Wei Po, as of 9 p.m. last night (Nov. 27), total donations from various sectors for the affected residents had already exceeded HK$1 billion.

The total donation amount continued to rise throughout the evening and cannot be fully listed here. Additionally, multiple companies provided free hotel rooms, supplies, and medical assistance, with all sectors uniting to support the affected residents in overcoming this difficult time.
其中,李兆基基金、九龍倉、馬雲公益基金會、騰訊、滙豐和恒生、中國宏橋等各捐3,000萬元。
Among them, The Lee Shau Kee Foundation, Wharf, Jack Ma Foundation, Tencent, HSBC and Hang Seng Bank, China Hongqiao Group, among others, each donated HK$30 million.
大埔宏福苑火災後社會各界迅速行動。東華三院、中銀香港、五豐行、中國移動香港、香港珠寶製造業廠商會、福建社團聯會、潮人聯會等機構及企業亦紛紛捐款捐物、提供通訊及情緒支援,展現香港社會守望相助的精神,合力助受影響居民渡過難關。
Organizations and enterprises such as Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Bank of China (Hong Kong), Ng Fung Hong, China Mobile Hong Kong, Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association (HKJMA), the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Associations, and the Chaoren Association also donated money and supplies, and provided communication and emotional support, demonstrating the spirit of mutual assistance in Hong Kong society and jointly helping the affected residents.
為應對這次事故,賽馬會昨日宣布將透過「賽馬會緊急援助基金」提供1億元的援助,以解傷者及死者家屬的燃眉之急,並將會經社會福利署及非政府組織發放。馬會強調未來將提供更多支援。
To address the incident, The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced yesterday it would provide HK$100 million in aid through its emergency relief fund to alleviate the urgent needs of the injured and families of the deceased, to be distributed through the Social Welfare Department and NGOs. The Jockey Club emphasized that it will provide further support in the future.
馬會又指,將會把周日的賽馬賽事的總收益悉數捐出,以協助受災人士,金額估計約7,000萬元。有關具體安排,將徵詢政府的意見,而連同第一筆1億元捐款,馬會將捐出合共約1.7億元。
The Club also stated it would donate the total proceeds from Sunday's race meeting to assist those affected, estimated at approximately HK$70 million. Combined with the initial HK$100 million donation, the total Jockey Club contribution will be around HK$170 million.
馬會亦會提供資助予過渡性房屋、簡約公屋的營運機構購置傢具,讓受影響家庭能即時入住:其中1至2人單位資助1.8萬元;3人或以上單位可獲資助2萬元。除提供緊急援助金外,香港賽馬會慈善信託基金會與政府相關部門及非政府組織緊密合作,為傷者及死者家屬等有需要人士,在未來一至三個月提供援助,包括:過渡性房屋、食物援助、喪親及情緒支援、教育支援、照顧者支援,以及透過「賽馬會藥健同心藥物支援網絡」下的社區藥房派發應急藥物。
The Club will also provide subsidies to operators of transitional housing for furniture purchases, enabling affected families to move in immediately: HK$18,000 for 1-2 person units and HK$20,000 for units for 3 or more people. Beyond emergency grants, the Jockey Club Charities Trust will collaborate closely with relevant government departments and NGOs to assist in the following one to three months, including transitional housing, food aid, bereavement and emotional support, educational support, caregiver support, and emergency medicine distribution through community pharmacies under the "Jockey Club PHARM+ Community Medication Service Network."
另一方面,自火災發生後,香港福建社團聯會第一時間啟動援助行動,發起專項籌款,截至27日9時,共籌得款項2,021萬元。該聯會還積極排查居住在宏福苑及周邊地區的閩籍鄉親受災情況,通過全港273個屬會的地區網絡,主動聯絡受影響鄉親,及時提供力所能及的幫助,用行動踐行「鄉親同心、守望相助」的初心。同時,該聯會開通支援熱線2566 1818,全力為受災市民提供協助。
Following the fire, the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Associations immediately initiated assistance measures and launched a specific fundraising drive. By 9 p.m. last night, they had raised HK$20.21 million. The Federation also actively assessed the situation of fellow Fujianese residents living in Wang Fuk Court and the surrounding area. Through the regional networks of its 273 affiliated societies, it proactively contacted affected fellow townspeople to provide timely assistance. Simultaneously, the Federation opened a support hotline (2566 1818) to fully assist affected citizens.
此外,澳門霍英東基金會、香港霍英東基金會及霍英東集團宣布捐贈3,000萬元支援宏福苑居民,用於緊急救援及災後重建工作。
Furthermore, the Fok Ying Tung Foundations in Hong Kong and Macao and the Fok Ying Tung Group announced a joint donation of HK$30 million to support residents, earmarked for emergency relief and post-disaster reconstruction work.
東華三院昨亦表示,繼前晚東華三院董事局迅速從 「東華三院甘霖援急基金」 撥出300萬元作緊急援助後,持續收到各方查詢,表示有意捐贈現金或物資,其中中銀香港捐出500萬元、經麥德銓總理引薦霸王茶姬CHAGEE捐出50萬元、前總理鄔翁嘉穗捐出旗下Sea Horse海馬牌70套床褥及枕頭予東寓過渡性房屋及捐出160個枕頭予東華·南昌滙供暫居以上地點的大埔居民使用、正向文化娛樂捐贈「楊千嬅Live MY LIVE 2025 演唱會」 首場收益,以及六場演唱會周邊產品全數盈利。
Tung Wah Group of Hospitals also stated yesterday that, following its Board of Directors' swift allocation of HK$3 million the night before, it continued to receive inquiries from various parties wishing to donate cash or supplies. These included a HK$5 million donation from Bank of China (Hong Kong), a HK$500,000 donation from CHAGEE facilitated by Director Paul Mak, a donation of 70 sets of mattresses and pillows from Sea Horse brand by former Director Virginia Yung, and donations from Right Track Culture including the proceeds from the first show of Miriam Yeung's concert and all profits from concert merchandise across six shows.
另外,新界東潮人聯會緊急贊助超過3,000件保暖內衣。香港青年陽光力量聯同香港福田青年會組織50多名義工組成「送暖特遣隊」,將3,000多件保暖內衣迅速運往各社區會堂。
Additionally, the New Territories East Chaoren Association urgently sponsored over 3,000 pieces of thermal underwear. The Hong Kong Sun Power of Teens, together with the Hong Kong Futian Youth Association, organized over 50 volunteers into a "special warmth delivery team" to quickly transport more than 3,000 pieces of thermal underwear to various community halls.
