提到「世界三大珍饈」之一的鵝肝，大家可能會首先想起法國。傳統「法式鵝肝」由朗德鵝的鵝肝製作，這種鵝原產於法國南部的朗德省。不過，現時大家在全球各地品嘗到的鵝肝，很大可能是中國產。
When mentioning foie gras, one of the "world's three great delicacies", you might first think of France.Traditionally, French foie gras is made from the liver of the Landes goose, which originates from the Landes region in southern France.However, the foie gras you are savouring nowadays is most likely produced in China.
據傳媒統計，中國的鵝肝產量已經佔到全球45%。安徽省六安市的霍邱縣，以及山東省濰坊市的臨朐縣，都是鵝肝的主要產地。山東臨朐，是中國最早引進朗德鵝的地方。1988年，臨朐的一間公司從法國引進了1萬隻朗德鵝，當地的鵝肝產業由此起步。而安徽六安，本身就有養鵝的基礎，當地高質素的「皖西白鵝」早已名聲在外，給當地帶來「白鵝之鄉」和「羽絨之都」的美譽。
According to media reports, China's foie gras production now accounts for 45% of the global total.Huoqiu County in Anhui's Lu'an City and Linqu County in Shandong Province, are the main foie gras producing areas.Linqu, Shandong, was the first place in China to introduce Landes geese. In 1988, a company in Linqu imported 10,000 Landes geese from France, marking the start of the local foie gras industry.
Lu'an has a foundation for goose farming and its high-quality "Wanxi White Goose" has long been famous, earning the region a reputation as the "Hometown of White Geese" and the "Capital of Down."
六安市霍邱縣位於大別山間，淮河中游南岸，這裏水系發達，農業、畜牧業的底蘊深厚。2003年前後，霍邱縣的養殖戶，從山東引入朗德鵝。
如今，霍邱已成為全國最大的縣級鵝肝生產加工基地。當地有140多間朗德鵝養殖企業，全縣每年養殖加工朗德鵝400萬至500萬隻，生產鵝肥肝5,000噸以上，綜合年產值近20億元人民幣。中國向全球出口的鵝肝中，有約一半就產自這裏。
Huoqiu County, located among the Dabie Mountains and on the southern bank of the middle reaches of the Huai River, has abundant water systems and a strong foundation in agriculture and animal husbandry. Local farmers introduced French Landes geese from Shandong around 2003.
Now, Huoqiu has become the largest county-level foie gras production and processing base in the country.There are more than 140 Landes goose farming enterprises in the area, with an annual farming and processing capacity of 4 million to 5 million Landes geese.The annual production of foie gras in Huoqiu exceeds 5,000 tonnes, with a comprehensive annual output value close to RMB 2 billion.About half of China's foie gras exported globally is produced here.
當地還與安徽省農科院、安徽農業大學、安徽科技院校等展開合作，成立企業技術研發中心，研究朗德鵝科學填飼、品種退化等問題。
The local area has also cooperated with institutions such as the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Anhui Agricultural University (AAU), and some science and technology colleges in Anhui to establish an enterprise technology R&D centre,focuses on researching key issues including scientific force-feeding methods for Landes geese and genetic degradation in the breed.
從種鵝繁育、養殖、填飼、屠宰、深加工到廢棄物綜合利用，霍邱發展出一條綜合產業鏈，規模達到數十億元。2014年至2020年，霍邱縣累計脫貧7.3萬多戶近17萬人，曾經的國家級貧困縣「摘帽」成功。
From breeding geese, farming, force-feeding, slaughtering, deep processing to comprehensive utilisation of waste, Huoqiu has driven the formation of a comprehensive industrial chain worth tens of billions of RMB in the local area.During the period from 2014 to 2020, more than 73,000 households, nearly 170,000 people, in Huoqiu County were lifted out of poverty, and this county was removed from the list of national-level poverty-stricken counties.
