【Eye On U】設計帥氣制服 加強成員自豪 蕭澤頤:知道年輕人想什麼才會做得更好
在本期《容來熙往》節目中,我們邀請到警務處處長蕭澤頤向我們介紹香港警察的一些警務工作以及其對如何改善警民關係的看法。
主持︰How does the JPC, the platform and the discussion forum for all the youth, can play a more significant role in the future? For example, what you have said the GBA and the Mainland opportunity, how can the JPC show to the young people that kind of opportunities?
少年警訊這個平台和提供給所有年輕人的論壇,如何在未來發揮更重要的作用?比如你說的大灣區和整個內地的機遇,少年警訊要如何向年輕人展示這些機遇呢?
嘉賓︰Earlier I mentioned that now we have over 170,000 members. If they can do more, they can exert a very positive influence on other JPC members.
開頭我提到,我們現在有超過17萬名成員。如果他們能做得更多,就可以對其他少年警訊的成員產生非常積極的影響。
In order to amplify the JPC's influence, first of all, we need to enhance our JPC members' sense of pride sense of belongings as being a JPC member. This is something that I think we need to do. First of all, something that we would do, nowadays because as a JPC member don't have a uniform, only these what we call the advanced leader will have a uniform. But even that uniform is, I think all of you may not be aware how it looks like. So what we are thinking to do is to design a new set of uniform, a very distinctive and smart uniform for not just the advanced leader, but also the leaders.
為了擴大少年警訊的影響力,我們首先需要做的是加強少年警訊成員的自豪感,作為一名少年警訊成員的歸屬感,這是我認為需要做的事情。首先我們會做的是,現在少年警訊成員是沒有制服的,只有那些高級領導層的人才會有一套制服,但即使是這套制服,我想你們可能都不知道它是什麼樣子的。所以我們想做的是設計一套新的制服,一套非常獨特而帥氣幹練的制服,不僅適用於高級領導層,還包括普通領導層。
And how we are going to enhance their sense of belongings? What we think is they have a role to play. Now earlier I mentioned that the JPC CAB, the Central Advisory Committee, most of us were at least 40 years of age or even older. But if we want to know what the current youngsters are thinking, we need to ask the youngsters, right? I mean they know more about what they are thinking. And we need to give them opportunity to tell us, to give views on how the JPC CAB can do better? How we can amplify the JPC influence? How we can arrange programs for the youngsters? So that they know better about the motherland.
那我們將如何提高他們的歸屬感呢?我們的想法是讓他們有各自的角色要扮演。我之前提到的少訊中央諮詢委員會,大多數人已經40歲或以上。如果我們想知道現在的年輕人在想什麼,就需要去問年輕人,對吧?我意思是他們更了解自己在想什麼。我們需要給他們機會來告訴我們,少訊中央諮詢委員會可以怎樣做得更好,如何能夠擴大少年警訊的影響力,如何為年輕人安排項目,讓他們更好地了解祖國。
The youngsters nowadays are very talented on a lot of issues. Even myself over the past two years, I enjoy talking to the youngsters, because I've learned a lot from them, what the other youngsters are thinking, this is something that we can do. What I'm thinking to do is to invite some of our JPC leaders or advanced leaders to sit in our JPC CAB, so that they can tell what they think to us. And at the same time, by allowing them to sit in the CAB, they feel that they have a reason for existence. They can give views to us, for the sake of the development of the JPC. So this is something that I want to do.
現在的年輕人在很多問題上都很有才華,甚至我自己在過去的兩年裏也喜歡和年輕人聊天,因為從他們身上學到了很多東西,包括其他年輕人在想什麼,這也是我們可以做的事情。我想做的是邀請一些少年警訊的領導者或高級領導層來參加少訊中央諮詢委員會,這樣他們就可以向我們講述他們的想法和建議。同時,讓他們來參加少訊中央諮詢委員會,會讓他們覺得自己有存在的理由,可以為了少年警訊的發展給我們提供意見,這也是我想做的事情。
And later on, we will also have a new JPC Youth Engagement Strategy. Because what we want to do is to enrich our members' learning experience. In the future, JPC activities will highlight the elements of innovation, discipline, exposure, adventure, and also synergy. We want to create more activities, so that more JPCs can come. They enjoy being JPC members. At least the leaders and the advanced leaders have a set of uniform. If you talk about the other uniform groups, like the Boy Scouts, the Red Cross, etc. They have an identity by wearing a uniform, everybody knows that "Oh, he's a Boy Scout". "Yes, he's a Red Cross members". For JPC, we also want that.
之後我們還會有新的少年警訊青年參與計劃,因為我們想拓展成員們的學習經驗,在未來的少年警訊活動會突出以下特點︰創新思維、守法自律、多元視野、歷奇鍛煉、協作共創。
我們希望創造更多的活動,以便讓更多少年警訊的成員來參加,讓他們享受成為少年警訊成員。至少領導者們有統一的制服,因為當談及其他的制服團體,比如童軍、紅十字會等,人們通過制服就可以分辨他們的身份,「哦,他是童子軍」,「他是紅十字會成員」,對於少年警訊,我們也希望達到這樣。
Give more opportunity for the advanced leaders. Give them a chance to groom other members to become a leader as well. This is something that we want to do.
給予先進領導者更多的機會,給予更多機會培養其他成員成為領導者,這就是我們想要做的事情。
